Preparation:

  1. Fry 200 g of lean bacon in a pan with a little Cadí butter PDO, add 200 g of chopped onion, 200 g of ham, and1/2 of a bay leaf; when they are brown, add 2 garlic cloves, 200 g of tomatoes and a little parsley.
  2. Cook and add 400 g of rice and 200 g of peas. Stir thoroughly, pour in 1 litre of stock or, if this is not available, boiling water and a little meat juice.
  3. Cook a little grated nutmeg for 8 minutes and add 100 g of grated Cadí cheese and 40 g of Cadí butter PDO. Mix with the rice and put in the oven for another 8-10 minutes until fully cooked.

Note: It can be served alone or accompanied with the ‘CADÍ Eggs’ recipe.

Fact: A good cheese, with its nutrient properties, the calories it supplies, the vitamins provided by millions of lactic bacteria, its digestibility and ready absorption, is the most complete food for whetting the appetite.
