Cooperative model
Ours is a cooperative model that has been looking out for our natural environment and the quality of life of the people of our land since 1915.
It is a cooperative and sustainable model that is respectful of tradition, of our area and of our people.
We are 65 dairy farming partners who uphold our founding principle, that “the common good stands above the individual good”.
Our goal, with this cooperative model, is to join forces in order to obtain a worthy price for our milk, which is what allows us to live a worthy life in our mountain land.
The principles that have governed our Cooperative from its beginning are transparency, honesty, high standards, and equality among all our partners.
How does our Cooperative work?
Three fundamental principles have formed the base of our management model from our beginnings.
ONE PARTNER, ONE VOTE
Each dairy farming partner of the Cooperative has one vote, regardless of their dimension.
The equality among the members of our Cooperative has been a key factor in uniting all our partners.
QUALITY AT THE CORE
The quality of our milk production lies at the foundation of our cost-effective, sustainable and competitive model.
The price of each partner’s milk is set according to its quality. The partners who do a good job are rewarded with a premium for milk of maximum quality.
A DEMOCRATIC ORGANIZATION
Our Governing Board guides the development of our Cooperative. The Board is formed by a representative group of partners who work jointly with the professional team in charge of managing the transformation of our milk into butter, cheeses and other dairy products, and of managing their commercialization.
The professional management of the Cooperative is marked by a spirit of improvement and it is focused on enhancing the value of our farmers’ milk through the production of quality products under the Cadí brand.
